Bathroom Plants

If you are a nature loving person and if you want to bring a piece of nature into your bathroom design you can consider keeping some plants inside your bathroom. Apart from bringing greenness to your bathroom, they also purify the air inside the bathroom. The bathtubs and cubicles and Jacuzzi’s have changed the status of the bathrooms. They have become the glamour rooms of any modern home.

Bathrooms with ample sunlight are best suited for placing indoor plants. The indoor plants that can be used to decorate bathrooms include bamboo varieties, spider plants, Aloe Vera plants, Chinese evergreen, African violets, snake plants etc. If your bathrooms do not have enough light to support the growth of these indoor plants you can keep them in the sun for a few hours once in two weeks. It is necessary to select high humidity and temperature resistant varieties of plants to place inside the bathroom.

It is better to select plants which need little maintenance and fertilizers for their survival. You can find the right variety of plants for bathrooms by visiting the local nursery. Consider the specific need of particular plant before selecting it to keep in your bathroom.

You can place the plants near the windows in the bathroom, on the countertop or you can hang it from above. Do not forget to water the plants when the top soil dries up. Select the plants with appropriate shaped and colored leaves to match the design of the bathroom. You can keep two or three pots of plants to place in your bathroom so that you can replace them once in a while to get a new look to the bathroom.
